On August 21, 2008 City of Austin Mayor Will Wynn made a proclamation that August, 2008 is hereby GTOPs Month!

 On hand to receive the proclamation were Austin Community Technology and Telecommunications Commission Chair Chip Rosenthal, Commissioners Wendel Ramsey and Lemuel Williams as well as City staff Sheena Colbath Harden, GTOPs Program Coordinator and Rondella Hawkins, Manager of the Office of Telecommunications and Regulatory Affairs.  Mayor Wynn read the proclamation and Commissioner Chip Williams said a few words about the accomplishments of GTOPs, current awardees and hopes for the future.
